Buju whose real name is Daniel Benson is a Nigerian singer and song writer who was born on the 14th of May 1998 in Akwa ibom, Calabar state.
According to Buju in an interview, he spent his childhood years in Gbagada before his family later moved to Ogun state. His mother who died of cancer spoke to him in Yoruba.
Buju always had an interest in music since he was little and was part of the choir, he also initially started out as a rapper named “Drizzle”.
