Iyabo Oko whose real name is Sidikat Odunkanwi was born on the 15th of November 1960 in Iwo, Osun State. She completed her early education at Oke-ola Primary School, Iwo, Osun state before proceeding to St. Andrews Secondary School, Port Harcourt.

Iyabo Oko Career

Iyabo Oko began her career as an actress in the Nigerian entertainment industry at an early age. As a teenager, she joined the Eda Onileola Theatre group and she started appearing in Nollywood movies.

Iyabo Oko later joined Oga Bello’s theatre group in Lagos where she gained popularity after her role as Iyabo Oko in the movie titled Oko produced by Oga Bello. Since then, she has appeared in several Nollywood until she was diagnosed with an Ischemic stroke in 2015.
