Peter Mbah was born on March 17, 1972, in Enugu State. He attended Army Children’s School, Port Harcourt, and Owode High School, Ogun State, where he obtained his SSCE.

He proceeded to study at the University of East London, U.K, where he obtained a Bachelor of Law. After that, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar.

Peter Mbah holds a master’s degree in Maritime and Commercial Law awarded by Lagos State University and also holds an MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Spain.

He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Said Business School, University of Oxford. And also, he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Political Science by Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.

Peter Mbah is the founder of Pinnacle Oil and Gas Ltd. After accomplishing a lot as a businessman, he ventured into politics. In 2003, he was appointed Chief of Staff and subsequently Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development by Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani.

However, he was also a member of the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee, the Enugu State Executive Council as well as a member of the State Security Council.

Peter Mbah served as the Chairman of the Federal Accounts Allocation Committees Sub-Committee on Legal Matters and also served as Chairman in other bodies.

Moreover, he emerged as the Enugu state governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election.
