Soni Irabor was born on March 23rd, 1952 in Edo State, Nigeria. He completed his early education in a local high school where he grew up with his parents before proceeding to the University of Lagos where he obtained his degree in Mass Communication.

Soni Irabor holds a Certificate in Leadership and Governance in Media and Communications from Pan Atlantic University. Thereafter, he trained as a speech trainer with The Radio Deutsche Weller (Voice of Germany), Koln, Germany.

Soni Irabor Career

Soni Irabor began his career as a broadcaster at age 22 when broadcasters like Patrick Oke & Jones Usen encouraged him to be the voice of NBC mailbag. Over the years, he was drafted to the Radio Nigeria Training School to train Announcers which he still does to date. 

Soni Irabor is the host of the Radio and TV Talk Show, Soni Irabor Live which was inspired by the late Larry King. He has over four decades of experience in radio and TV Broadcast and Film.

In 2000, Soni Irabor retired from Nigerian radio to set up his businesses in Advertising, Broadcast training, broadcast media establishments, and PR & Media services. Presently, he is the CEO of Inspiration 92.3 FM and the chairman of Ruyi Communications Ltd.
