Pius Akinyelure is a seasoned and distinguished administrator, and an oil industry practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the oil industry at top management/executive levels, both Upstream and Downstream. He was the Executive Director, Finance and External Relations at Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc before he retired in 1997. 

Pius Akinyelure was also a pioneer Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress from 2014-2018. He was appointed to the board of the NNPC by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016. Since then, he has held various executive positions form different organizations including Wema Bank Plc, Credit Bank Ltd, Odu’a Investment Limited, Oluwa Glass Plc, Okitipupa Oil Palm Plc, West African Portland Cement Plc, Odu’a Telecomunications Limited, Cocoa Industries Nigeria Ltd, and Hallmark Bank.
