Jalal Arabi was born in the 1960s in Jos, Plateau State. He is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who has served as the Secretary to the State House.

Recently, Jalal Arabi was appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). According to the  Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, he stated that the President expects the new NAHCON leadership to serve in reverence of Allah and with utmost adherence to the precepts of service according to the Holy Qur’an.

Jalal Arabi Early Life and Education

Jalal Arabi was born in the 1960s in Jos, Plateau State. He completed his early education at Islamiyya before he proceeded to Government Secondary School Gombe where he obtained his secondary school certificate.

Jalal Arabi went to the University of Jos where he bagged a Law degree, LLB (Hons). 

Jalal Arabi Career

Jalal Arabi began his career at the Ministry of Justice, Bauchi, Bauchi state. He later joined the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) as Legal Adviser to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

In 2003, Jalal Arabi joined the Ministry of Defence as the Deputy Director (Parastatals/Special Services) before he rose to the position of State House Counsel. He has also worked in various ad-hoc for his fatherland over the years.

In 2015, Jalal Arabi was appointed as  Permanent Secretary by President Muhammad Buhari. Currently, he was appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
