Oluremi Tinubu Early Life And Education

Oluremi Tinubu was born on September 21st, 1960, she hails from Ogun State and she is the last born of 12 children in her family.

Oluremi started her education by attending Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School ijebu-ode, where she obtained her West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam (WASSCE) in 1979. She later obtained PGD from The Redeemed Christian Bible college in 2010.

She also went to the University of Ife where she obtained her B.S. in Education and she holds a National Certificate of Education in Botany and Zoology from the Adeyemi College of Education.

Oluremi Tinubu Career

After her husband Bola Tinubu was elected as the Governor of Lagos state, she became the first lady of Lagos State. She initiated the New Era Foundation which was dedicated to establishing centers for the “all-round development of young ones and promoting public awareness of environmental health and community service.

Oluremi Tinubu was elected into the National assembly in 2011 in a controversial election challenged at the Legislative House Election Petition Tribunal. However, she was cleared and the election was upheld in 2012.

In 2015, She is one of over 100 senators elected in the 8th assembly, and at the 2019 general election, she retained her senatorial seat representing Lagos Central, making it her third tenure in office.
