Alex Okosi whose full name is Ogbuefi Akunne Alex Uche Okosi was born on October 28th, 1975 in Enugu State. He completed his early education at Zik Avenue Primary School before he went to the College of the Immaculate Conception.

After completing his early education, he relocated to the United States to complete his education and he went to a number of schools in New York, Missouri, Nebraska, and Florida before attending Phillips Exeter Academy, New Hampshire.

Alex Okosi went to St. Michael College, Vermont where he enrolled in a double major in business administration and economics. He was awarded a full scholarship to play basketball for the college’s second team and he also later graduated as Magna cum laude.

Alex Okosi began his career at ViacomCBS where he rose to the position of the executive vice president and managing director of ViacomCBS Africa. He also led the ViacomCBS global event business and BET International brand.

Alex Okosi worked at MTV Networks as part of the Trade and Integrated Marketing team. He created multi-platform marketing opportunities for advertisers such as the MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Spring Break and Wanna Be a VJ. He was later transferred to MTV Networks Affiliate Sales & Marketing division in Los Angeles.

In 2003, Alex Okosi was transferred to MTV network in London as a Manager in the MTV International Strategy & Business Development. He has held several positions in different MTV networks.
