Wale Edun hails from the western region. He went to the University of London, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Wale Edun started as a businessman and a well-known philanthropist who served in various board positions for different organizations. He was the Deputy Head of Corporate Finance and also the Head of Treasury at Chase Merchant Bank. He was also responsible for the bank treasury and money market activities.

Wale Edun gained international experience during his time in Chase bank while on secondment to the wall Street firms of Lehman Brothers and Chase Manhattan Capital Markets Corporation in New York, USA. He has more than 26 years of experience in merchant banking, corporate finance, economics, and international finance at national and international levels.

In 1986, Wale Edun worked with the World Bank/IFC in Washington DC, US through the elite Young Professionals program. When he was at the world bank, he worked on economic and financial packages for several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Including the Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Indonesia, and India in the Far East.

Since 2008, wale Edun has served as the chairman of Chapel Hill Denham group. He also served as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Stanbic IBTC Plc (formerly Investment Banking & Trust Company Limited) in 1989, when returned to Nigeria.

In 1999, Wale Edun was appointed as Honourable Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State and he is also owner of Denham Management Limited. He is the chairman of the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame and an International Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
