Onyechi Ikpeazu was born on April 15th, 1959 in Onitsha, Anambra State. He trained in the United State of America and attended Evanston College, Lake Forest College, and Oklahoma City University, where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science.

Onyechi Ikpeazu’s career started when he was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has been in active legal practice till date and has served as Chairman of the Onitsha branch of the Nigeria Bar Association. And also, a National Executive Council (NEC) member of the national body, NBA.
