Aisha Yesufu was born and raised in Kano state although she originally hails from Edo state. She was the 1st of 5 children given birth to by her parents.

According to her, when she was 11 eleven years old, most of her friends got married or died during child birth, and by the time they got to the age of 24, were already grandmothers.

Aisha attended the Usman Danfodiyo university but later left after the university close, she also attened the Ahmadu bello university where she was studying medicine, before the school closed down as a result of the death of a professor.
